Another Labour pledge delivered: Redbridge launches new enforcement team

14 Dec

In the run up to the 2014 local elections we made a firm commitment to residents that if we came into power we will give all enforcement officers targeted police powers to crack down on litter, fly-tipping and dog fouling with tougher fines for offenders.

The pledges was devised following feedback from residents from doorstep and telephone conversations over two years, as well as consultation with Labour Party members.

Today we launch our brand new enforcement team with increased powers to enforce issues like fly tipping, littering, anti-social behaviour, graffiti, and much more.

That’s another Redbridge Labour promise kept.

From about 11.10 am onwards you can follow the Leader of the Council, Cllr Jas Athwal, on the council’s twitter account, who will be out on patrol with the new enforcement team.
