Redbridge Labour is calling on residents to get behind and support the council’s draft local plan by calling on the Mayor of London and Secretary of State to approve it.
To support the statement:
“Redbridge has an ever increasing housing crisis and some of our fellow residents are forced to live in cramped, unsuitable or unsafe housing. In some cases they are even sent out of the borough.
We call on the Mayor of London and Secretary of State to approve the Draft Redbridge Local Plan so the Council can move ahead with a sustainable house building programme, and get on with tackling the problem.
We support building on brownfield sites and on land which is suitable for release from the greenbelt, where enough infrastructure is planned or in place.”
